The conversion into law of Dl Bollette (Decree Law No. 34 of March 30, 2023) redefines spaces and modalities of practice of cosmetic medicine for dentists, removing the previous limits to the middle and lower third of the face: “Form the object of the profession of dentistry the activities inherent to the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired diseases and anomalies of the teeth, mouth, jaws and related tissues, as well as dental prevention and rehabilitation. Dentists may prescribe all medicines necessary for the practice of their profession and may practice noninvasive or minimally invasive aesthetic medicine to the upper third, middle third and lower third of the face.”
