Expodental Meeting 2023, held in Rimini from 18 to 20 May, drew to a close after three very successful days for the exhibition, although the tragedy that struck Emilia Romagna affected the number of visitors and the scientific programme. More than 300 companies exhibited at Expodental Meeting in a total gross floor area of 56,000 square metres, while the number of visitors dropped by 40 per cent compared to 2022. More than 70 events with around 150 speakers were scheduled, but not all of them could take place and for some courses the speakers had to present their talks online.

In partnership with ITA, UNIDI welcomed to Expodental Meeting a large foreign delegation comprising over 60 dealers from 24 countries: Albania and Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Colombia, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Japan, Jordan, India, Iran, Iceland, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda and Vietnam. This significant result is the outcome of the joint commitment of UNIDI and ITA – in a spirit of constant cooperation with Italian entrepreneurs – as well as of Italian Exhibition Group, the trade fair company hosting Expodental Meeting in its exhibition venue in Rimini. The foreign dealers arrived in Rimini despite the weather difficulties, and 650 b2b meetings were organised with Italian companies.

Several times during Expodental Meeting 2023, from 18 to 20 May, we expressed our sympathy with the people of Emilia Romagna that were hard hit by the flood. “We have enormous sympathy for this region also because for years it has welcomed us with great hospitality and professionalism,” said UNIDI President Fabio Velotti. “We want to thank Rimini for having hosted us even during this tragic situation. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the exhibiting companies and visitors who overcame countless difficulties to join us here, and to all the Associations, Universities and scientific partners who, together with UNIDI, contributed to developing the training programme, underscoring its crucial importance.”

The Expodental Meeting in its current form has now truly ended. In fact, as of next year, the event will be completely reorganised, with new services dedicated to exhibitors and visitors. In fact, the new communication campaign will feature them alongside the companies that have always been the beating heart of this sector.

See you on 16-18 May 2024, again at the South Gate, in Rimini.
