Camfil, a world leader in air filtration, will be present at Expodental 2021 with a workshop entitled, “Effectiveness of HEPA Air Purifiers in Abatement of Microbiological Airborne Concentrations and Ultrafine Airborne and Chemical Particle Pollutants in Dental Practice.“ A study designed to evaluate the effectiveness of air purification systems equipped with HEPA filters in abating microbiological concentrations and airborne ultrafine particles will be presented during the workshop. The study assessed indoor air quality in the outpatient clinic, considering the impact of outdoor and indoor contaminant sources and various ongoing activities, looking at the 3 main environments: dental and dental hygienist operating rooms and waiting room.
The results highlight how the sources and concentrations of contaminants differ depending on the specific environments of the clinic, allowing the identification of the best solution for each environment.
This makes it possible to significantly improve indoor air quality to mitigate the risk of airborne infection and increase the well-being of caregivers and patients even after the pandemic. Sign up for the workshop at Thursday, September 9, h.
