SLA printers, a rich range of materials and automated solutions for post-printing washing and curing create a digital workflow that opens the door to new treatment possibilities

Milan, September 01, 2021 – Formlabs, a leading company in the development and production of high-performance, easy-access 3D printing systems, will participate in Expodental Meeting, the benchmark event for the dental industry in Italy that combines an exhibition part with an in-depth scientific part. From September 9 to 11, at booth 127, line 4, hall 5 of the Rimini Fair, it will be possible to learn about the products and innovations that the company offers to ensure a next-generation 3D printing ecosystem designed specifically to meet the needs of dental professionals.

At Expodental Meeting Formlabs will present Form 3B and Form 3BL: its stereolithographic 3D printers optimized for biocompatible materials and specifically designed for professional printing in dental laboratories, dental practices and orthodontic laboratories. There will also be all the materials for the dental sector and Form Wash and Form Cure, Formlabs’ automated solutions for washing and post-printing polymerization: a complete range for a workflow that allows you to make prostheses, aligners and retainers, models, surgical guides, occlusal splints, indirect bonding trays for the placement of brackets and much more – easily, affordably and quickly.

The Form 3BL printer, launched last fall and shown live for the first time in Italy during Expodental Meeting, is a large-format SLA printer with a print volume of 33.5 × 20 × 30 cm (five times larger than the Form 3B), designed to print many small parts in a single print and work day and night with minimal intervention. The Form 3BL has an intuitive workflow with automatic resin dispensing, simple print preparation software and an interface that anyone can use.

Among the most recent innovations introduced by Formlabs to the European market are Digital Denture Resins: class IIa resins for digital dentures that are long-term biocompatible, have realistic aesthetics and are produced at a fraction of the cost of traditional workflows. Denture Base Resin, available in four shades, is ideal for denture bases and trial dentures, while Denture Teeth Resin, available in six shades, is suitable for denture teeth.

There will also be several presentations scheduled at the company’s booth: from restoration models using Soft Tissue resin, to directly molded temporary and permanent restorations, as well as molding of crowns, bridges and skeletons.

The 2021 edition of Expodental Meeting promises to be a unique opportunity to learn about the evolution and potential of 3D printing, which, with the ability to create complex geometries and reduce costs and time, and the availability of an increasing number of materials, is opening the door to new treatment possibilities.
