The States General of Dentistry, presented by Fabio Velotti and Pietro di Michele, with an introduction by Antonio Pelliccia and the conduction of the journalists: Margherita de Bac and Giuliano Giubilei, go on stage
The event, with a central role of UNIDI, Unione Nazionale Industrie Dentarie Italiane (National Union of Italian Dental Industries), and SUSO (Sindacato Italiano Specialità Ortognatodonzia (Italian Orthodontic Specialty Syndicate)), will host top representatives of the Italian dental industry, along with CAO (Commissione Albo Odontoiatri (Commission on the Dentists’ Register), CNEL (National Council of Economy and Labor), ANDI (National Association of Italian Dentists), and AIO (Italian Dentists’ Association).
Expodental Meeting confirms itself in 2025 as the fundamental moment of scientific comparison and networking for all the federations of professional orders, scientific societies, associations, the university world, manufacturing companies and all dental actors, operating in Italy, where less than 40% of the population accesses dental and orthodontic care, both public and private.
The primary goal of the roundtable is to act as ambassadors of innovation, reliability and constant development, a true laboratory of ideas and spokesman for the excellence of Made in Italy in the world. The commitment of all the actors involved in this initiative is devoted to promoting an Italian scientific, industrial and professional product at the international level, countering the entry of low-quality products and questionable care models, always guaranteeing work safety for operators and patients, with products of excellence and traceable in all care and production phases.
Italian Dentistry and Orthodontics are globally recognized for excellence in terms of superiority in technological innovation, design, quality, style, communication models, and enhancement of the ethical and deontological relationship between patient and health care provider, with a strong focus on lifestyles and oral health prevention projects from child to adult and vulnerable individuals.
The crucial challenge facing the public and private healthcare sector in protecting the health of patients is to accept, learn about, study, and properly address the use of tools such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Telemedicine, and Digital. Confrontation and change should not be feared, but should be developed and defined in the medical and dental fields by ethically and socially sustainable models, regulating their use and boundaries with respect to the process of Transhumanism.
Proper coding of this process can allow for a numerical increase in the number of services and the number of patients who can access dental care, improve clearer and more direct communication to the population, maintain the level of excellence that characterizes the Italian system, and hope for a rapid reduction in the cost of production and implementation of services that are more accessible to all. This involves drafting a code of ethical behavior that, through a close link between emotional and artificial intelligence, places the value of Man first.
